Prof David Henshall named ILAE ambassador - to be awarded at the International Epilepsy Congress in September 2025
David's contribution to the epilepsy community in Ireland has been seismic and we are delighted that his immensse contribution has been recognised by his peers and colleagues in the International League Against Epilepsy. His collaborative approach in bringing patients, caregivers, researchers and clinicians together has helped further amplify the importance of epilepsy research amongst all groups and we are priviledged to have world-leading researchers based here in Ireland thanks to work of FutureNeuro - many of whom are members of the Irish Epilepsy League. This collaborative approach has been further highlighted by the fact that the Irish Epilepsy league and Epilepsy Ireland came together to jointly nominate David for this honour.
